Object Description |
Leather pipe bag with lazy stitched beading and quilled decoration. Top is beaded with white, red, green and dark blue beads. Square and rectangular shapes along top of bag. White beaded side border extending about two-thirds of the way down the bag. Red, green and blue morning star pattern as well as red and green "I" shaped pattern on first half and dark blue squares along second half. Top one-third of bag is undecorated. Middle section has a white beaded background with two forked, brown, green and dark blue triangles at the top and bottom of area. Center portion contains triangular geometric pattern made of brown, dark blue and green beads. Bottom third of pipe bag is woven quill work with two large X's of green, white, yellow and blue quill. Grey and yellow cross in between X's. Reverse side is similar though white beaded portion contains geometric patterns of brown, green and dark blue triangles with a star or sun shape in the center. |
