Object Description |
Rectangular, wooden frame painted gold with applied decoration in each corner. Edge of frame has reeded decoration. Assemblage contains black and white portraits of 48 men of various ethnic backgrounds and ages. Each man has an oval tag attached to his collar, all tags are marked with the letter "B" and a four-digit number. One man has a handwritten number and no "B". Prints are arranged in eight columns and six rows. Photographs are printed on paper and adhered to cardboard. Cardboard is mottled light green. Glass has several bubbles and imperfections. Plain tan backing board holds glass and assemblage in frame and secured with 27 nails on reverse. Reverse of frame contains remnants of paper backing. Two screw eyes are imbedded into the sides of frame with picture wire strung between. Photographs are of men who violated parole from Eastern State Penitentiary. |
